Since The Yozma Group was established in 1993 as a global venture capital firm, it commands the reputation that it is the core reason why the venture capital industry is what it is today in Israel..
We invested in world-wide Israeli IT ventures and to this day more than 20 companies have been either listed on NASDAQ or have been acquired by global companies through acquisitions.
The Yozma Fund invested in the early stages of a venture and of 10 investments it made, 6 of them achieved internal rate of return (IRR) of over 100% and the highest return of the fund was 123%. At the time of establishment, the fund started with just $256M, and within 10 years the fund scale up to $4B, and today Israel attracts 35% of all global venture funds, and it is not hard to see that the Yozma Fund had a huge contribution to the scale of investment in Israel seen today.
The outcome of these are that following the US and China, globally, Israel has the most companies listed on NASDAQ.
The Yozma Group Korea was established in 2014 in the hopes that with our support and an Israeli style incubation system, via the global Jewish network as a base, we will help promote Korean and Asian startups.
